Eskimo Creative

The ün-establishment celebrates DIY culture and showcases creativity with the UK’s finest convention-prodding talent through a series of FREE workshops, exhibitions, screenings and talks.

Eskimo Creative aim to stimulate your mind with two individual events, bringing together a collective of creatives, thinkers and makers. These evenings make up a whole programme hosted by Kopparberg in Manchester & London.

    Four creatives come together to battle out some of the most posing questions of today via the medium of Photoshop and their own creations.

    Expect plenty of filter dodging and layer action in front of a live crowd with music supplied by party Hip Hop night Juicy.

    The event is on Sat 13th October, It's free and a perfect way to start your night out in the Northern Quarter.

  • Rules
    Player 1 vs Player 2

    The Rules

    Each player has five minutes to return a serve of creative genius using Photoshop and pre designed assets.

    The crowd comment via a live Twitter wall and heckling each contestant.

    After 6 serves the game is over and the crowd decide the winner by showing some love.


    Game subjects are set before hand and designers create their own battle tools from scratch but also with contributions via social networks.

Part-time CEO, strategic consultant, facilitator, trainer & mentor specialising in the creative and media industries. Steve brings his wealth of creative knowledge to chair this discussion.

The Neighbourhood combines technology, imagination and craft to define architecture, to design imagined worlds and tell brand stories. The Manchester company uses insightful creativity to connect clients from advertising, design, broadcast and architecture to their audiences.


Mike Ryan

Mike is a highly successful entrepreneur and digital futurist. A born disruptor, he eats lives and breathes future thinking and has helped many large organisations on their future strategy. Mike is an expert in Horizon Mapping and foresight studies particularly around business planning, disruption and digital innovation. He self publishes a futures extinction map and crowdsources insight from a broad range of colleagues.


Dave Kirkwood

Dave is a successful designer, teacher and storyteller. His 365 project began as a last minute idea, late on New Year’s Eve and it has now become an internet phenomenon. The first graphic novel to be crowd authored on Twitter, 3hundredand65 has attracted over 230 volunteer writers and celebrity Tweeters, including Stephen Fry, and support from professional poets, writers, artists, bands, musicians, Professors, Olympians, and DJs across the UK.


Fiona McGarva

Fiona McGarva is a highly experienced communicator specialising in both consumer brands and broadcast. Passionate about the future of communications and creating engaging and immersive experiences for client's audiences, Fiona heads up Sundae PR, providing media relations, events and content creation for both commercial and creative companies. Sundae uses a unique knowledge of converging industries to create campaigns that look to the future.


Ian Wareing

Ian is the Producer for Digital at The Digital Fiction Factory, a creative partnership between the BBC, Channel 4, Creative England and Conker Media, which is exploring new ways of telling stories. The Digital Fiction Factory team work with new and established writing/directing and digital talent, to bring a multi-layered approach to storytelling: creating stories which play across one or more platforms. Ian runs the Digital Fiction Factory's Creative Network of specialist craftspeople working in connected TV, online, mobile/tablet and live events.
